Summary Abstract:This report presents the results of an study of seven samples of Humic Acids extracted from surface horizons of one profile of "peaty soil", two of "heavy black clay soils", and four of "ferralitic soils" from Angola. The humic acids of the three groups of soils show differences in most of the studied parameters. Although the differences between the several humic acids studied are relatively small, the humic acids of the "heavy black clay soils" are the least susceptible to hydration and swelling and those of the "peaty soil" are the most susceptible ones. The report contains an English & French summary.
