Summary Abstract:This report presents the results of an study into the occurrence of micronutrients (microelements) in some representative soils of Angola. The purpose of the study was to report the analytical results of 50 soil samples, taken from 18 uncultivated soil profiles, and to stress the importance of mineral microconstituents of soils. Emission Spectrography was used for the determination of microelements in the samples. The techniques employed followed those used (at the time) at the Macaulay Institute for Soil Research, Aberdeen, Scotland. The full profile descriptions of the 18 representative soils are given in the report, including general site information such as topography, geology, vegetation, drainage status, climate. The soils are classed into three main groups: I - Peaty and Gley Humic Soils; II - Black Heavy Clay Soils; III - Ferralitic Soils. The report is in Portuguese with a Summary and a Preface in English.
