Summary Abstract:	This Report: General Soil Map of Angola (3rd Approximation) was prepared by the Angola and Mozambique Pedological Mission and by the Tropical Pedology Research Center, with the aim to identify, classify, describe and map the distribution of the main soils of Angola. It is partially based on the surveys undertaken during mid 50's and 1960's and reported as parts of the "Memorias da Junta de Investigacoes do Ultramar". The Report, which is in the Portuguese language, includes the classification and description of 51 main Soil Groups . For each of the Groupings; topographic, geological, botanical and climatic data is provided; and full profile descriptions, physicochemical and mineralogy of the clay fraction analytical data are given for 77 typical soil profiles. The Report is accompanied by a colour Soil Map, at 1:3,000,000 scale, depicting the distribution of 80 soil map units. This is found bound at the rear of the Report.
