| Summary Abstract: | Topical Black Earths in the Gold Coast were described by the authors in a previous paper (The Tropical Black Easths of the Gold Coast and thier associatioed vlei soils). Adjoining these soils under similar environmental conditions occur solonetzic soils which it is considered might be named Tropical Grey Earths. This soils are associated with Dahomeyan (Archaean) acid igneours rocks, mainly nuscovitic-biotite gneisses and schists in which plagioclase is the dominant feldpar.This paper along with the one cited above was submitted to the 6th International Congress of Soil Science, Paris, 1956. |
