Summary Abstract: | The purpose of this study is to make a preliminary evaluation of the feasibility of developing irrigated agriculture on the lands bordering the Kagera River. The basin of the Kagera is within three countries-Burundi, Rwanda, and Tanzania. This is part of a prefeasibility study carried out by consultants in the mid 1976s. These reports are filed within the Rwanda and Burundi box but also include some material on Tanzania in the lower part of the Kagera River. WOSSAC numbers are from 4143 to 4148. This specific study is to make a preliminary evaluation of the feasibility of developing irrigated agriculture on the lands bordering the Kagera River close to Nyamuswaga |
